The County Fair

One of our fun adventures while we were in Indiana was to go to the Elkhart County 4-H Fair with my parents and sister. Some of my favorite things:

the smell (and taste) of the fried food and cotton candy

the sounds of carnival music

the lights

animals to watch

the "carneys" (as my sisters like to call them)--people who work at the rides and collect your tickets. They have the most interesting personalities!
...and the huge smiles of our kids as they rode their favorite rides.

Hey! I married a "carney"! Scott worked many summers in a giant coke can:) It was so good to see you and spend time together! You are a dear friend and I miss you already!

We miss you guys! Josh said, "Wow! Clayton got to drive that car all by himself!" So glad the fair was fun!

You take such amazing pictures, Adrienne! Too bad you can't pipe in the Kellie Pickler music that we were hearing while we were there! And I echo the Kelly above comment that we miss you already. We had such a great time with all of you. Give Clay & Em hugs around.
