Last fall we began a tradition of spending a day hiking in Brown County as a family. The day was beautiful once again, and we crunched through leaves and explored lots of trails. It had been a rainy week, so we especially enjoyed soaking up the sunshine and basking in the beauty of fall.

Snoring in Daddy's ear... (Jeff remarked how strange it is that normally other people's snoring annoys him, but somehow this baby's snoring is cute.) :)

We finished our time with dinner at Muddy Boots Cafe with Grandma Rack and Aunt Melissa, who happened to be shopping in the town for the day. It was a fun surprise for the kids, and a great ending to our day.

I especially loved Clayton's shocked and very surprised great big eyes when he saw me...and then his dropped jaw when Melissa came around the corner! Soooooo FUN!!!

Beautiful pictures...we got out this morning for a fun, autumn "hike" in Thatcher Woods. As Scott was climbing the diagonal of a huge fallen oak, he said, "fallen trees were my rocks to climb growing up in the Midwest" So grateful for the outdoors...
