Colorado

We just spent a few days in Denver, attending a church planters' assessment as well as checking out the city as a possible place for us to move to. We stayed with Bill and Carol, a very sweet couple who live in Golden. Thanks Turpins, for your kind generosity and your great bed and breakfast! In their neighborhood, the elk run wild. We had to slow down a few times to avoid hitting them! We also met up with my college roommate Rebecca, and her husband Kent from Colorado Springs for dinner one night. And, we enjoyed a day hike to a beautiful mountain lake just outside of Nederland, CO. It was a very profitable weekend for us and we learned a lot. We're thankful to our parents for taking care of Clay and Emma so we could go on the trip!

I'd like to apologize in advance because you just may have a bit of "remedial" work to do with Clay & Em upon your return...
See you tomorrow!

That "remedial work" activated an old tape in my brain. No doubt your parents went through the same process when G'pa Ed and I left Indy after a visit with Austin and you! And by the way, what lake is in the picture in CO? It looks familiar. G'ma Marge

Adrienne, I just can't tell you what a blessing it has been for both Bill and I to read your blog! It's like reading a real-life devotional, accompanied by FANTASTIC pictures. I am so blessed by your thoughtful comments and associations. Thank you so much for sharing your blog with us! God bless you! (and hope to see you soon!!!) (maybe???)
