Ballet

For at least the past two years, Emma has been asking when she can take ballet classes. We decided to wait until she turned 6. We read lots of Angelina Ballerina books and others from the library. We went to The Nutcracker twice. She's watched her older cousins' ballet recitals. Finally it was Emma's turn this week! She got to start taking "Beginner Ballet" classes with Miss Johanna at a local parks department. Miss Johanna is Dutch and has the perfect accent for a ballet teacher. She treats the girls so kindly and even hands out Altoids and Tic-tacs at the end of class. Of course Emma LOVES every minute of it. She came out with a huge smile and said, "Mom, I wish ballet was EVERY day!"

I have no doubt that Clay has the best fan club EVER; and I will be in the front row of Emmalina Ballerina's first recital.
Love,
