At last

This is what Jeff wrote in his journal this morning:

Yesterday morning our things arrived at 9:30 a.m. It turned out exactly like we had anticipated in the beginning. The truck knocked down a large branch on the pear tree in the front. Then the driver refused to let me in the truck to see our things before paying. It got pretty heated for a bit. The driver threatened to leave. Eventually Ade called 911. The police showed up, but unfortunately they couldn't do anything because it was a domestic issue. They told us to pay up front and dispute things in court afterwords. Then they left. Then I paid. Then we started to unload.

We found a damaged post on the coffee table. We saw a broken piece on the vacuum cleaner. Then . . . everything was good. Everything was here . . . everything seemed right . . . again . . . finally. We unpacked. We felt at home. We felt relief.

Thank You God, for delivering. Thank You for the journey that taught us once again to release and surrender. Thank You for your goodness . . . all the time.

HALLELUJAH!!! We were praying that God would do amazingly more than all we could ask or imagine! Any update on the house offer? Love the idea of "waking" the kids up for an outing to see lights! We might have to copy you. :)

Yay, yay, a thousand times yay! The picture is gorgeous, like you've lived there forever. It's home... And you all look so happy in the post below (at Monument Circle). We are praising God for his mercy and grace... and for your faithful hearts.
Love,
Mom
