Today Jeff found some little turtles by the creek. Of course the kids wanted to make a home for them right away. They found a bucket and added water, rocks, and dirt. They even gave them the names, "Clayton and Emma."
The real Clay and Emma waited 'til after dinner and then decided it was time to walk down the path to the creek and let their little friends go back to where they belong.
I laughed when I heard the kids yell, "Bye, Clayton Turtle," and, "Oh look, there goes Emma," as the turtles happily swam away. We love these summery days!

My girls would have loved those turtles too. That second picture is wonderful--with brother carrying the bucket and sister carrying the doll. So sweet.

Can't wait to see you all again, but am having great fun at the Rieses. We are actually going to a creek today where they guys are hoping to do some fishing, and there is hopes of a turtle hunt there as well.
