24 hours in London

On our way back "home" from India, we stopped for a day and night in London. We absolutely LOVED that city! It was a gorgeous spring day...blue skies, and a light breeze. Coming from India, we were amazed at how clean, quiet, and orderly everything seemed. We loved the architecture and character of the city. We tried to see it all...
the London Eye Big Ben The changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace Rode the Tube (subway) and lots of double-decker buses
Attended a service at Westminster Abbey
Ate "London foods" like scones and fish and chips
Saw St. Paul's Cathedral, where Princess Di was married
Played and ran on the grass at St. Jame's Park
We stayed in this cute youth hostel called "Dover Castle." It was a bit odd to wake up in the morning and have 8 total strangers sharing the room with us, but the price was right. We were still recovering from jet lag, so we all slept soundly. We had a full day, but felt like we were able to experience some of the best of London.

I can't believe you fit all that in!!!! You are amazing! Your kids upcoming field trips may seem a bit dull compared to what you've just given them. :) We're praying for you regularly as you transition back to the States.
